ipsy (glam bag) december 2012 Canadian version

Hi guys:
I was trilled to receive my December ipsy bag right after I have received my December Topbox on Wednesday. Today I finally got the time to blog about this bag, here is what I received in the bag:
1. Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil in ZERO

I was thrilled when I saw the sneak peek on their Facebook page, since I have just ran out of my zero a few weeks ago. I am super happy to receive this eyeliner, it's going to be my perfect travel size since I just got a new NARS Larger than Life Long-wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto :)
2. Mirabella Prime for face and eyes

I have to say, this might be the best month of any subscription box, since I have also run out of my MUFE HD primer, in the hunt for a new primer, and then, this came in the box. Though I have not tried it yet, but I am super happy to receive it. Also, very happy it's in a squeezable tube.
3. Be a Bombshell lip gloss in hot mess

I saw Michelle Phan's YouTube video before I received my bag, so I kind of knew what I was getting, it is a bloody red opaque lip gloss, I haven't decided what to do with it, since I don't typically use any red color (I had a bad experience before where I was wearing a red lip gloss, it made me have this orange glow, hmm...). Still, definitely a great gloss though.
4. Mai Couture Highligher Papier in St. Barts
This is what I have received from ipsy bag this month.

(A comparison of what I have received this month with what I received in September's Glymm bag)

OMG, when I knew they were going to send me this on the sneak peek, I was so happy, but I didn't really know what size I was receiving until I opened the package. It came with 25 sheets (OMG, OMG, OMG <3)...if anyone had a Glymm bag from September 2012, they would know it came with 2 sheets of Mai Couture blusher paper (I got the color prettyful). I wasn't very happy with it. How can you really know if you like something when they give you such a small amount to try. But I am definitely impressed with the size ipsy offered me.
5. NYX Ultra Pearl Mania in LP17 Yellow Gold Pearl

I knew NYX has great stuff, such as I have been using this lip gloss since end of summer when I found out I can buy it here in the Rexall. :P But I have to say this may not be a good color for me, since gold doesn't show up well on my eyelids. :/ But still happy to receive this, as it's a great size, and NYX's quality is almost equally good as most of the MAC's products. :D

In conclusion, I am super happy with what I have received this month. Especially compared to this month's Topbox . ipsy wowed me so much more!

My first ever blog post (November ipsy bag)

Today, I am going to write my first ever review on a beauty subscription (ipsy) :D

In this month's bag, I received the following:
1. Benefit they're real mascara

Impressions: when I received this, I was not very happy with it since I do have a full-sized product on the side and one of my other subscription box sent me the same thing. BUT I have rediscovered this mascara and fell back in love with it (I only used my full-sized one, I'm planning to give these away to friends). I gotta say I am still happy with what I received.

2. Starlet Cosmetics Eye Pencil in Chocolate

Impression: very nice package and a nice neutral colour.

3. Nailtini Nail Laquer in Millionaire

Impression: I was thrilled to receive another nail polish. But I'm just worried cause I know how hard it is to remove glitter nail polish.

4. the Balm Meet Matt(e) in Matt Batali

Impression:  I have heard so many good things about the Balm's eyeshadow. I was very happy that the ipsy bag puts this one in it, even though I don't typically use matte eyeshadow, I think I will use this as my eyebrow powder :P

5. eclos Anti-aging Regenerative Cream

Impression: I know I should start using anti-aging products already, but I wasn't very impressed with this product because I don't use any anti-aging products, also, my skin is so sensitive I don't like to switch brands. My favorite brand is still Avene, Origins and Kiehl's.
Bonus: because ipsy cannot ship one of their products in Canada I think, they have also sent me a blending brush which I am very happy about it. :D
Also, there is an insert with coupon codes for each product to be purchased on it's company's website.

Overall, very impressed with this month's ipsy bag, I have already seen the sneak peek for the next month's one.
