Hi everyone:
I thought it would be interesting for me to do my first ever
fave of the month blog. Most of them are makeup plus a couple
skincare products.
1. Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation in True Ivory
(
p.s. I have found a better color so the color in this picture is not the right color)
I have read so many good reviews about this when it first released in the UK about a year ago. Also, I have been patiently waiting for it to release in the N.A. It finally made its debut about a month ago at all of the drugstores and Walmart. I was thrilled to pick it up and trying it. This foundation has replaced my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua for the most of the month. It is amazing. It has medium coverage. There is a bit of settling shimmer in the foundation itself. While finishing it with my setting powder, it gave my skin a very natural and dewy finish. I am super in love with it :D
2. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
This is one of the items had hype all over the media and blogs. I knew they were coming out but I wasn't very thrilled about it since I am not a huge fan of matte
eyeshadows. But I was still able to convince myself to buy one of these while seeing it was out of stock most of the Sephoras that I have visited in January. When I first received it, I
gotta say I was a bit disappointed as most of the color didn't really show up on my skin as it is fairly light. But in my brain, I have imagined to combine two of the
color on the palette together and I decided to give it a try. It was freaking awesome. Though I don't like the fallout of the eyeshadow (could be because of my eyeshadow brush picked up too much eyeshadow). But the color pigmentation is great and it is supernatural.
3. Urban Decay Oz: the Great and Powerful Glinda palette

There is a bit of a story behind this palette. Initially, I was going for the Theodora palette because I am a huge fan of brownish colors. Also, the Theodora palette had more colors that I am familiar to work with. But it has been a busy month with school I had so much work to do during the early February I completely forgot about this palette. I stopped by Yorkdale on my way home before the reading week. I saw the palettes again, as much as I like about Theodora's palette, it wasn't good enough to convince me of getting it. As soon as I try the Glinda colors on my hand, there were a few designs came up to my mind I thought I could do. But unfortunately, it was out of stock at Yorkdale. I knew at any Sephora stores, you can tell the associates to contact some other stores whether they have the product in stock or not, so one of the girls helped me called Upper Canada Mall location and they had it. I picked up right after the holiday the first thing in the morning. I have been using this since then. I found South and Tornado are a very good combination.
4. Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentre
This cream is really interesting. I have heard tons of good things on YouTube about this cream. I have really dry and sensitive skin especially in winter. This cream has done me justice and revamp my skin instantly. The only thing about it I bought it on eBay. But I think there are salon/spas in Toronto that sells this cream.
5. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye Cream
I have never thought I would try this, because first I thought this is just one of the scam that cosmetics company does. But I gotta admit it, I am TOTALLY WRONG!
This cream works amazing on my eye. My eye areas are super sensitive plus I easily get puffy eyes in the morning, though I don't have bad dark circles unless I worked overnight. This cream is just a miracle to me, because I would wake up in the morning and barely have a puffy eye. I am totally in love with it.
xoxo,
Monica
