CHANEL LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Sheer Powder

Hey everyone:
I hope everyone is having a great Easter weekend so far. I went to home on Thursday and on my way home I passed by Holt Renfrew. I thought I'd dropped in at the Chanel counter and book an appointment for their National Makeup Event that is happening between April 11th-13th. BUT I got sucked up at the new Les Beiges healthy glow sheer powder. Here is a look of the powder on the CHANEL UK website.
Unfortunately, we don't have the SPF 15/ PA++ here :( But I did get the No. 40 which is the second one from the right. Hold on your thought it might be too dark for me, I bought this purely for the use of a bronzer, not a setting powder. I still think it's too expensive to buy a setting powder for over $20 CAD :P Here are some pictures I took after I got it (using my dad's Canon EOS 60D)

I also took a few pictures with my own camera (Canon ELPH 320HS)

It might look really dark for now, but until I get tanned a bit more, I don't think I will put this too much into use yet :P

Reveal of my Collections Week 1: Tom Ford Emerald Lust Eye Color Quad

Hi everyone:
I got this idea that I will reveal one of my all time collection products each week. For the first week, it would be my Tom Ford Emerald Lust Eye Color Quad. I love Tom Ford Beauty products, but there is only a limited selection of products available in Canada. Fortunately, I found this one on eBay and my BFF who lives down in the States mailed it to me. Here is a picture of an overview of the product.

February Fave of the Month!

Hi everyone:
I thought it would be interesting for me to do my first ever fave of the month blog. Most of them are makeup plus a couple skincare products.

1. Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation in True Ivory
(p.s. I have found a better color so the color in this picture is not the right color)
I have read so many good reviews about this when it first released in the UK about a year ago. Also, I have been patiently waiting for it to release in the N.A. It finally made its debut about a month ago at all of the drugstores and Walmart. I was thrilled to pick it up and trying it. This foundation has replaced my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua for the most of the month. It is amazing. It has medium coverage. There is a bit of settling shimmer in the foundation itself. While finishing it with my setting powder, it gave my skin a very natural and dewy finish. I am super in love with it :D

2. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

This is one of the items had hype all over the media and blogs. I knew they were coming out but I wasn't very thrilled about it since I am not a huge fan of matte eyeshadows. But I was still able to convince myself to buy one of these while seeing it was out of stock most of the Sephoras that I have visited in January. When I first received it, I gotta say I was a bit disappointed as most of the color didn't really show up on my skin as it is fairly light. But in my brain, I have imagined to combine two of the color on the palette together and I decided to give it a try. It was freaking awesome. Though I don't like the fallout of the eyeshadow (could be because of my eyeshadow brush picked up too much eyeshadow). But the color pigmentation is great and it is supernatural.

3. Urban Decay Oz: the Great and Powerful Glinda palette

There is a bit of a story behind this palette. Initially, I was going for the Theodora palette because I am a huge fan of brownish colors. Also, the Theodora palette had more colors that I am familiar to work with.  But it has been a busy month with school I had so much work to do during the early February I completely forgot about this palette. I stopped by Yorkdale on my way home before the reading week. I saw the palettes again, as much as I like about Theodora's palette, it wasn't good enough to convince me of getting it. As soon as I try the Glinda colors on my hand, there were a few designs came up to my mind I thought I could do. But unfortunately, it was out of stock at Yorkdale. I knew at any Sephora stores, you can tell the associates to contact some other stores whether they have the product in stock or not, so one of the girls helped me called Upper Canada Mall location and they had it. I picked up right after the holiday the first thing in the morning. I have been using this since then. I found South and Tornado are a very good combination.

4. Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentre

This cream is really interesting. I have heard tons of good things on YouTube about this cream. I have really dry and sensitive skin especially in winter. This cream has done me justice and revamp my skin instantly. The only thing about it I bought it on eBay. But I think there are salon/spas in Toronto that sells this cream.

5. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye Cream

I have never thought I would try this, because first I thought this is just one of the scam that cosmetics company does. But I gotta admit it, I am TOTALLY WRONG!
This cream works amazing on my eye. My eye areas are super sensitive plus I easily get puffy eyes in the morning, though I don't have bad dark circles unless I worked overnight. This cream is just a miracle to me, because I would wake up in the morning and barely have a puffy eye. I am totally in love with it.

Shu Uemura Tokyo Lights Palette (03)

Hi everyone:
It's been a long time since I posted this palette in one of the previews a few posts before. But yet, I have not reviewed this palette. So for today's blog, I will post my review of this palette. Shu Uemura is a very famous Japanese brand and this is one of their limited edition palettes that was released back in early January, I think. It is retailed at $85 CAD and it is only available at Holt Renfrew.

If you look closely to the left, you would have realized that this is one of those refillable palette. I was very impressed with the color since I don't really have any good green colors. And here is a swatch of all of the colors on my arm:
Overall, this is a very pretty palette and the color payoff is great even at a very high price of $85. But if you do realize that a single eyeshadow from Shu Uemura usually cost something around $20 CAD. I do recommend this palette for its pigmentation, it is definitely great color for a party and maybe to match your green dress? =P
