Urban Decay Naked 3 palette

Hi everyone,
Today's confession is on the brand new Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. If you don't know what the Naked series are, they are developed by Urban Decay, and all of the palettes so far are all neutral palette. The original is the brownish neutral palette, then the Naked 2 is the taupe neutral palette. The new Naked 3 is described as a series of all brand new colour with rose hue undertone. I was debating whether to get one when it first came out when Urban Decay sent me an email, but of course I regret my decision, it was instantly sold out. That really made me want to get this palette and try it out. Here are a few pictures of the new palette.

The package is very similar to the Naked 2 which I love, the metal package makes me loving it more. I don't like how it doesn't come with a deluxe sample of their Primer Potion or the Naked lipgloss anymore, instead a cupboard with 4 tiny sample of their Primer Potions. But I can live with it. Also like the Naked 2, it came with a double end brush which I don't really put into use.
I have to admit it, this palette is not a disappointment, it contains some really beautiful and in-season neutral colours. I heard some rumours that this palette complements Asian skin colour better than all the other ones that was release before. Since I just received this palette, of course I haven't got time yet to swatch it and it looks so delicate, I don't even wanna swatch it :P

Of course you can see how big a fan I am of all Urban Decay's Naked Series palette. Even though a lot people has told me that their fave is the original Naked. But I gotta say, I loved so much of the Naked 2, I put such a dent into the Suspect, Pistol, Verve and YDK are definitely one of the few of my all time favourite eyeshadows from Urban Decay.
Hope you guys are having a great holiday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Laura Mercier Artist's Palette For Eyes Holiday 2013

Hi everyone,
Today's confession is on my recent purchase of the new Laura Mercier Artist's Palette that has just release for this holiday season and it is exclusively for Sephora and sephora.com. This palette is retail @$48USD/$60CAD. This will be my first ever palette from Laura Mercier (I never really got into the whole brand until the Caviar Sticks).

sorry about the bad quality of the photo, I took this in a hurry before I went into work the other day, definitely will take another one tomorrow :D
I know some of you might say this is just like a normal netural palette, I completely agree. But I found a few very interesting colours in this palette that I couldn't find in others, like the African Violet, it's duo-chromed violet colour with gold chrome in it. This palette consists 6 Matte colours (Vanilla Nuts, Fresco, Plum Smoke, Truffle, Violet Ink and Expresso Bean), 2 Luster shades (African Violet and Bamboo) and 4 Sateen shade (Sparkling Dew Guava, Primrose, and Kir Royal). Swatches will be up tomorrow as soon as I get back from my trip to T.dot. Overall, this is a great palette with a lot of neutral toned brown-based and purple-based colour that I don't really own. I think it is worth the price tag. :D

Holt Renfrew Haul

Hi everyone,
Today's confession is that I did a little bit more shopping before Christmas and got my hands on a few items from this year's Holiday collections. Also if you still don't know, Holt Renfrew is having their 'Christmas comes early' promotion, here is the detail:
Of course I had to have get my hands on this promotion [since HR doesn't really have much promotions like this a year, this is a great chance to shop for Christmas at the same time, save a bit of money]. I saw Christine from temptalia.com reviewed the new Giorgio Armani Holiday 2013 face palette in 'Eccentrico', I have to admit it's one of the most amazingly packaged and designed product I have seen from Giorgio Armani Beauty [in my opinion]. Here is a picture from the website.
I loved how it is designed, and how pretty it is. According to the website "the palette presents a 4-in-1 multicolor illuminator palette of blushing colors for the holiday season, it opens to reveal an illuminating, asymmetrical pattern of light purple, pink, white and orange".

Swatch will be up soon.
I actually wrote a list of things yesterday night and was planning to grab everything, but there were one thing that was not available which is the the new limited edition Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in #505 Eccentrico. I will just insert a picture of it to show you how pretty it is.
Then, I got the shu uemura princess love in wink natural false eyelashes. When I first received the email notified me about their new holiday collection. I was thrilled to see one of the cutest design I have seen so far in all of the high-end brands. This year, shu uemura collaborated with Takashi Murakami, who is an internationally prolific contemporary Japanese artist. Here some pictures of the false lashes.

How adorable is this pair, OMG!!! :D

Last but not least, I got a new Chanel nail polish or Le Vernis in Rose Moire.  It is very pretty pale pink with a greyish undertone. :D

I will try this nail polish sometimes this upcoming week.

My little Sephora HAUL

Hey everyone,
Since I've been on a blogging mood. Today I'm going to share with you my 10% Cash Back shopping from Sephora just the past week. Here is what I got.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold [limited edition]

I got this just because how much I love Rose Gold. This is a great highlighter/illuminator for the holiday seasons. I will put it in use very soon.
Then of course I had to get something from Dolce & Gabbana. I've heard many good things on their blushers, so I decided to take my test with this brand. I got the blush in Provocative. I knew Christine from Temptalia and Lorraine from thecurrentcustom rave this. I will definitely give it a go since it's a very cool toned colour where my skin is warm toned.

Here is what I got for my birthday from myself. I will try to post a few more things as soon as I get the time. I do have a couple more gifts from my birthday I wanna share with you guys. They are all from Sephora.

Illamasqua HAUL

Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since my last post. Last year of university is not fun when it comes to work load, anyways. Today I want to share with you my recent haul on a few Illamasqua products. If you don't know anything about Illamasqua, it is a British brand very similar to MAC, the brand promotes creativity and the art are very dramatic. I've insert a few pictures from the website.

I couldn't constrain my excitement anymore on that the Hudson's Bay just start to carrying the brand (at least the Yorkdale and the Queen St. location). I know Sephora does sell Illamasqua too. But it's way more pricy than buy it at the Hudson's Bay. Here is what I got the last few days.
I had to get a few blushes of course. Illamasqua is well-known for it's pigmentation.
The first one I got is a blush named Katie. It's a very pale pink.
 Then I got Tremble, it's a coral-pink blush.
Then when the lady tried a few lip combo. I fell in love with this color. It's called boost. It's violet lip gloss.

That's all for now. Swatches will be up soon.

Dior Fall 2013 Mystic Metallics 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Bonne Etoile (384)

Hey guys,
It's been another a few month I haven't post anything on the blog. I've been working and studying the worst combination. Today I am going to quickly talk about my recent haul about Dior Fall 2013 Collection. It's one of the prettiest collection I have seen regarding to all of the high end brands. The palette itself is called Bonne Etoile, it's a very pretty earth tone palette yet has various colours in it.
Here is a few pictures of it.
The package looks a bit different than the usual Dior package. It's more deeper blue than all other Dior package.
As usual, it comes in a navy velvety pouch.

It comes with five eyeshadows, and I have wore them a couple time. I just love the combo of this palette. You can use as a single eyeshadows or mix a couple them. It's just a gorgeous for this coming fall. It is so mystic as it is described. I'm just totally in love with this palette.
Here is the look I created with this palette

All about the MINIONS!!

Hey everyone,
It has been a long time since the last I blogged about anything. I'm working really hard trying to balance my schoolwork and work since late May. Now I am back for a bit more updates.
I went to see 'Despicable Me 2' a few weeks ago and discovered that McDonald's has started to release the Despicable Me 2 Collection. In another word, I am eager to collect all the MINIONS because they are Hilarious :D
I know it may not be in everyone's interest since this is petty much a beauty related product blog. But you know what? Anything makes you feel happy and smile is also a great way to keep your skin 'looking younger' :P
After all of the blah, blah, blah.....I'm just here to show you my collection (not trying to show off here, I'm just happy with what I got :))

sorry about the quality of the light, I will definitely trying to upload a better picture when the sun comes back :)

ipsy April bag: Pretty in Pink catching up PART III

Hey everyone:
I am really enjoying doing this. But here is a review of my April ipsy bag. The theme of the bag is 'Pretty in Pink'. I received 4 items in this bag. Here is a picture of the bag.

1. SATION Nail Lacquer in Love at First Byte (Full Size)
ipsy website describes the nail polish as follows:
"Sation Nail Lacquer is a contemporary beauty company, infusing a creative direction in nail care through a blend of lifestyle aesthetics. The collection features 120 colors from its seasonal & limited collections. "

I will upload a picture when I have a chance to change my nail color (FINAL EXAM in progress) =P

2. Two Cosmetics Due Eyeshadow in Heartache (Full Size)
ipsy website describes the eyeshadow as follows:
"Two Cosmetics blush pink duo eyeshadow in Heartache is suited for all skin tones & complexions in two finishes. The shimmer side is fabulous for highlighting the brow bone, tear duct or cheeks. The matte side is great for blending, or for use as a blush and is amazing for an all over the lid color. Paraben free and not tested on animals!"

I am not a huge fan of pink eyeshadows, but it is always good to have it in my makeup collection :)

3. Be a Bombshell Blush in Sweet Cheeks (Full Size)
ipsy website describes the blush as follows:
"A highly pigmented pressed powder blush that highlights the complexion and provides long lasting color. Can be used both as a blush or a bronzer."

This is the most I am excited for. Since I don't have a lot of blush. It is definitely awesome to have another blush in my collection. VERY EXCITED!!!

4. Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Nourishing Styling Treatment
ipsy website describes this product as follows:
"Sexy Hair Soy Renewal is the nourishing styling treatment with multiple benefits! Speeds up blow drying time, nourishes and protects hair, and enhances shine. Made with Moroccan Argan Oil, Soy Renewal addresses moisture, frizz, smoothness, elasticity and shine concerns, while protecting against heat and environmental stresses."

I am excited to try new products especially for my hair. Because I will start straighten my hair in summer again. Definitely an interesting product to try.

I also received this invitation for the Generation Beauty event that is sponsored by ipsy
I am very happy with this month's bag. 3 FULL SIZE PRODUCTS. Gotta say this, GOOD JOB, IPSY!!!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful night.
