Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette

Hey dolls,
It's been a long time since I have posted anything on my blog. I have been really busy with both working 2 jobs and going back to school part time to get my professional designation. Today, I am taking a break from both working and school. I want to post something I recently got from Sephora, it is the the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. I think it is still a VIB Rouge exclusive right now, but it should be available very soon to all Sephora shoppers. I don't know whether I have said before or not, I have been loving the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion for the last a few months and it's been a staple item of my makeup routine other than my Becca Tint Shimmer Souffle in Lychee/Opal. I was quite excited when I saw Christine from temptalia.com post that Hourglass is releasing this new LE palette, I am also very glad since I don't own any other colour from this palette. So of course I signed up for the 'email when it's in stock' and bought it as soon as I received in the email from Sephora at 12am in the morning.
The palette includes three colours, one of them are limited edition and exclusive to this palette. The other two are from the permanent collection.

from left to right: luminous flush, incandescent electra, moon exposure

and here is a comparison with the regular single Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush, the size of each blush is smaller than the single, but who can easily use up a blush. To be honest, I don't even know I will ever use anyone of these up.

I hope you all had a great day!! TTYL love!!

Collective SEPHORA haul

Hey guys,
I have been busy looking for a job the last a few weeks, now I need to get back to my blog and make it better. I have done quite a lot of Sephora trips since I came back from my vacation. Today, I'm gonna write a collective haul blog on what I have got so far.
First thing I got is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hr blush in Captivating. I don't really own a lot of these Tarte blushes and I've been fall in love with coral/peach colour for summer once again. It is described on the website a "warm peach". To me, it looks corally pink :P

And here is the swatch on my arm.

My NARS radiant creamy concealer is getting a bit dry and patchy on me, so I decided I need a new concealer that is more moisturizing. I saw the Marc Jacobs Beauty has a brand new one and it's in pot which is a plus to me since I love using a brush and dip it in. It's way more sanitized than using my finger :P

Here is a comparison of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla vs. the Marc Jacobs Remarcable concealer in 1 Awake.

Then, I oversaw Leanne (Instagram account: loveforskincare) posting picture of these bright neon lipsticks from Sephora Collection, I was so draw into the colour so I decided to go and grab a few. I got the colour "cougar" and "samba". OMG, they are so vibrant, and I love it so much. I've seen from the review on Sephora website some girl said "cougar" is the perfect Nicki Minaj neon pink, I think she is right.

Here is the swatch from left to right Samba and then Cougar.

sorry for posting this too late, I have been really busy with both school and two jobs. Have a great night gurls!!

When I read on temptalia.com that Marc Jacobs Beauty was releasing a great colourful palette, of course I couldn't resist and had to get my hand on one of them.
oh, yeah, that's right!! Marc Jacobs really changed the original sleek black palette to this cream white elegant and yet sleek palette. It is so adorable and awesome!!!

As the name described it comes with 7 eyeshadows, when I first saw this, it reminded me of rainbow. All of the colour are super cute for summer and special occasions. Here is a swatch of all the colours.
They are all super pigmented, and I just gotta say I love it so much!!!!

All shades of GREEN

Hi everyone,
I woke up today and realized it's well into the summer, and my sensation of colour has changed. I looked around my room and realized that how many green coloured items I have. So here I decided to do a post just upon my recent purchase of shade of GREEN.
First of all, it's my Macbook, I've had this mint green clear case for it for about over four months now and I just love it. It's super lightweight and it fits my macbook perfect and protect it from all scratches and dents.

2. Beats by Dr. Dre Solo HD headphone in light teal
Here is my brand new Beats by Dr. Dre Solo HD headphone. One of my mom's colleague suggested me to stop using in-ear headphone since they do quite a lot of damage to your ear drums and your hearing. So I decided to invest some money on headphones and who doesn't love good quality music?? Also, it is super cute with this pure teal colour all over instead of the old one where the ear cover was either in black or grey colour. I've just had it for a few days, I'm really loving it. Also, this is perfect for my electronic piano which needs an output, I'll probably plug this in sometimes and use it for my piano too.

3. Formula X for Sephora nail colour in "Inspiring"

(from left to right: Inspiring, A Little Sexy, Wunderkind, Supernatural)
I oversaw this on Sephora website, but it was an instant sold out, I was sad I couldn't get my hand on it. But while I was in the store close to my home, I realized that they still had it, and OF COURSE, I had to get my hand on it. I grab two of them. The other one is called "A Little Sexy," it's the one right next to the teal colour, it's a really pretty pearly periwinkle colour. Both are great for summer!!!!

4. Insurgent by Veronica Roth

Surprise, surprise, I was the last one discover how wonderful this book series is....oh, well....I finished Divergent while I was travelling abroad in China, but I couldn't get my hand on a copy of Insurgent while I was in China somehow. Well, I asked a good friend of mine to grab me a copy, and I fell back in love with the story once again. It's a great book and I love it. The book is in a shade of green, since I'm doing the them of green colour items, I thought I would put this in.

5. Spigen SGP Ultra Hybrid for Samsung Galaxy S5 in mint

First of all, this is such a great case, it covers the back of my phone at the same time, it has a bumper all across the side of my phone so it protects my phone from dropping on the ground and scratch the side of my phone. It is retailed between $11.99-14.99 on Amazon.ca. It's a chic style for my phone and yet I can still access to my heart rate sensor and fingerprint scanner.

Hope you all are having a great day,

Tom Ford Beauty

Hi everyone,
Today I went on a splurge to spend my $50 Gift Card @Holt Renfrew. Of course I had to spend it wisely!!!:P I decided to go to the Bloor Flagship Store in Toronto. I knew since last October or so, Holt Renfrew Bloor location starts to carry Tom Ford Beauty, which is owned by Estee Lauder Cosmetics. It is a brand that sells at a very expensive price, but the package and the products are super amazing. I have a few lipsticks from them when they were the only beauty items from Tom Ford at the time. I am super glad that we actually open our doors to this gorgeous brand. I was really there for the cheek colour, but then realized that they still have some of their Spring 2014 collection items available. I was reading blogs from the Raeviwer, the Beauty Look and temptalia.com and saw how amazing and fun their Spring nail colours were. So....I decided to grab one, even the price are incredibly expensive and not worth the price, but I have to say, it is worth for the packaging and the Tom Ford brand image. Here is an overview of what I got.

This is the item I was originally intend to get, this is the Tom Ford Beauty Cheek Color in Frantic Pink. I was trying to decide for the last few months which colour to get, I narrowed down to "Wicked", "Lovelust" and "Frantic Pink (the most recently decision)." After checking all of them out at temptalia.com, I was of course leaning toward "Frantic Pink." Then I saw them in store, I was absolutely more in love with "Frantic Pink." It is a coral-pink blush. It looks very pretty when I swatch it over on my hand. I have been really into the lighter shade of blush. I like how natural it looks like and how softly it is. The only downside of this blush is it is retailed for $60 CAD. But it is Tom Ford, you get what you paid for.

Then, my eye were caught on the Spring 2014 nail colours. One of them was "indiscretion". It is a really pretty deep fuchsia, in some lighting, it looks almost a bit neon, great summer colour though.

It is super cute for summer as I said, and I was so happy when I realized that they still had a few left over since it was released earlier this year. I'm still debating whether go back to grab "Coral Beach" or not since it is also super adorable, also at $35 CAD, you can get a few polishes for the price of this fancy one. I just also wanna showcase a few other of my Tom Ford Beauty Nail Lacquers. I think it's really neat to have the white cap of in the Spring collection, which also reminds of the original release of their lip colours. It was in the pure white casing.

In addition to the Tom Ford Beauty, I was lucky enough to score this beauty from eBay, and it was the limited edition eye colour quad from Fall 2012. It's called "Emerald Lust."

Hope you all had a great week, and enjoy the rest of the weekend. <3

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush review

Hi everyone,
While I was away on vacation, Sephora had it's 20% VIB/VIB Rouge Sales. I had get my hands on a few things to test out with this great deal. So I grabbed the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush. My original intention was to get the "Dim Infusion" which was apparently sold out instantly since it's release. So I settled down for the "Ethereal Glow", it is described as a "cool pink."

I tried some many times to apply it over my skin, but I'm petty disappointed with the pigmentation of the "ethereal glow." I would work perfect for someone who has really pale skin or really dark skin. With someone like me with a NC20 in MAC or 20 Beige in Chanel. It doesn't really show any colour. I still decide to keep it I can just use it as a highlighter or illuminator.

Then I signed up for the email when it's back in stock with "Dim Infusion." Of course I decide to buy it, here is a comparison with the "ethereal glow." It is described on the Sephora website "subdued coral." Surprise, surprise, it actually shown some great colour on my skin, also I have really been into the coral colour lately. Here is a comparison of the two blushes.

Here I've stolen temptalia.com's photo of the swatches for the two blushes since my lighting has been off recently, somehow the colour just don't show up on my cameras.
